Job summary

SAI Green Landscape Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a skilled lorry crane operator to support tree-pruning, tree-removal and landscape works with safety as a priority.

You will set up on-site, conduct daily pre-operation checks, lift and move branches and debris, follow lifting plans, coordinate with supervisors and crew, and maintain the crane while complying with traffic management and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate a lorry crane safely for tree-pruning, tree-removal and landscape works.
• Position and stabilise the lorry crane using outriggers according to ground and site conditions.
• Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of the lorry, crane, lifting accessories and safety devices.
• Assist with lifting and lowering tree branches, logs, equipment and other materials.
• Follow the approved lifting plan, risk assessment, safe work procedures and manufacturer’s load chart.
• Coordinate closely with the lifting supervisor, arborist, tree climber, rigger and signalman.
• Respond only to authorised signals and immediately stop operations when unsafe conditions arise.
• Ensure loads are properly secured and never exceed the crane’s safe working load.
• Work safely near roads, buildings, pedestrians, overhead lines and underground services.
• Comply with traffic-control and Traffic Management Plan requirements during roadside operations.
• Transport workers’ equipment, machinery and pruning debris when instructed.
• Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the lorry crane.
• Record daily inspections, defects, servicing and lifting activities.
• Report equipment defects, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions immediately.
• Follow all company, client, MOM, WSH, LTA and NParks safety requirements.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Project Manager or Site Supervisor.
