Job summary

You will operate drilling rigs, collect soil and rock samples, assist geologists with in-situ testing, and maintain rig safety and calibration. A hands-on mechanical background and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on job with mechanical bias.
• Experience in an engineering environment is advantageous.
• ISO 17025 familiarity is beneficial.
• Self-motivated technician with ability to multi-task under pressure in a busy mechanical test lab.
• Excellent attention to detail and written/verbal communication.
• Team player with analytical/problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate drilling rig and perform drilling process safely and efficiently.
• Collect high-quality soil and rock samples.
• Assist geologist with in-situ soil testing.
• Carry out drilling and installation of borehole instruments (water stand pipe, piezometer, inclinometer).
• Conduct daily safety and maintenance checks to ensure rig is in good condition.
• Follow safe work procedures at all times.
