Job description

As part of our company’s strategic expansion, we are seeking a skilled Draftsman to support our engineering and design teams. This role is crucial in producing accurate technical drawings, maintaining design documentation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications. The ideal candidate will play a key role in translating conceptual designs into detailed plans, contributing to efficient project execution and reinforcing our commitment to precision and excellence across all departments.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Create detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and assembly drawings & schematics for oilfield equipment and structural components using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, design leads, and project managers to develop, revise, and optimize fabrication and construction drawings.
  • Ensure all deliverables comply with industry codes, client specifications, and safety standards (e.g., ISO, ASME, DNV).
  • Update and maintain drawing records, revisions, and documentation logs through ERP & VAULT.
  • Assist in generating BOMs, and technical documentation for manufacturing and design approval submissions.
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure drawing consistency, model integrity, and project alignment across disciplines.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or Certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 2–5 years of relevant drafting experience in the oil & gas, offshore, or marine engineering sector.
  • Proficient in Autodesk Inventor (preferred), AutoCAD (2D/3D), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiar with offshore design standards, pipeline routing, and structural detailing practices.
  • Strong ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Knowledge of document control systems (e.g., Autodesk Vault) is an advantage.
