Drafter - Wills

Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Drafter to join our Wills & Custody team. This role involves drafting Wills, handling related administrative tasks, and liaising directly with franchisees and clients. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting, is meticulous, and is capable of managing multiple responsibilities with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Draft Wills based on client instructions.
2. Check and vet submitted documents for accuracy and completeness.
3. Liaise with franchisees and clients regarding Will drafts and revisions.
4. Interpret and understand instructions, and accurately transpose them into draft documents.
5. Prepare final documents, including Wills and supporting documents.
6. Assist in the attestation process, including signing as a witness.
7. Verbally translate the contents of the Will to clients in a language they understand.
8. Prepare invoices for services rendered.
9. Handle printing, scanning, and document management.
10. Process and verify proof of payment.
11. Perform other ad-hoc administrative duties as required.
12. Work closely with internal team members and cross-functional departments.

Requirements:

1. A minimum of a Degree in any discipline.
2. Prior experience in a legal or paralegal setting is preferred.
3. Excellent command of English (proficiency in other languages is an advantage, especially for translation).
4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling documents.
5. Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.

Preferred Background:

1. Experience as a paralegal or working in a law firm or legal department.
