Job summary

A technical firm seeks a drafter to transform designs and generate engineering drawings. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and at least 2 years of experience using AutoCAD. Responsibilities include maintaining drawing standards, coordinating with projects, and assisting in related documentation.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Transform sketch designs using computer aided designs (CAD) into working documents.
• Generate engineering drawing and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
• Co-ordinate with Projects and internal departments on drawings and documents for issue and filing.
• Maintain Electronic File Naming Conventions and the overall drawing register in controlled documents.
• Work with Projects on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of a drafter.
• Assist in engineering related documentation/administration and any other duties as assigned from time to time.
• To ensure company drafting standard style is adhered to on all drawings and improve the standard continually.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Technical Certificate (ITE-NTC2) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent;
• Minimum 2 years working experience in drafting using AutoCAD.
• Can perform drawings according to engineering design and possess good communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic computer software application. E.g. Word, Excel.
• Able to adapt / follow the standards set by the Drafting department.
• Able to work independently.
