Dog Playschool Assistant and Driver

We’re seeking patient people who can stay calm and attentive in a busy, distracting environment. You should be willing to learn, follow instructions carefully, work collaboratively with the Le Bliss team, and communicate respectfully and professionally with colleagues and clients. A genuine commitment to caring for every dog—including those who need extra patience—is essential.

Responsibilities

• Walk, feed, groom, and complete health checks for the dogs in our care
• Clean and sanitize the facility
• Actively supervise group play and use positive reinforcement to support safe dog interactions and learning
• Drive dogs to and from appointments or other destinations when required
• Help maintain a safe, positive, and caring experience for every dog

Requirements

• Availability to work weekends and public holidays when required
• Ability to work 3–5 days per week:
• Drivers: 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
• Assistants: 8:15 a.m.–6:15 p.m.
• Confidence handling dogs of different sizes, breeds, temperaments, and behaviours
• Good physical fitness for walking and caring for dogs
• Punctuality, reliability, a willingness to learn, and a positive team attitude
• A Class 3 or 3A driving licence is preferred
• Dog-handling experience is an advantage, but training will be provided to candidates who are eager to learn

Employment Details

• Full-time salary: $2,800–$3,500, commensurate with experience
• Part-time rate: $12–$14 per hour
