Position Overview

This position involves ensuring the safe, accurate, and timely transport of medical samples, specimens, and reports between healthcare facilities and diagnostic laboratories. The ideal candidate will possess attention to detail, organisational skills, knowledge of medical terminology and procedures, and adherence to strict protocols to maintain sample integrity and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and deliver medical samples, specimens, and other biological materials safely and efficiently
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of sensitive biological materials during transport, maintaining appropriate temperature conditions when necessary.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of all collections, deliveries, and transport incidents
  • Plan and optimise delivery routes for maximum efficiency.
  • Perform basic maintenance on transport vehicles to ensure operational reliability.
  • Manage emergency situations and prioritise urgent deliveries as required.
  • Ensure strict compliance with patient confidentiality guidelines and PDPA policies.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties assigned.

Requirements

  • For Dispatch Rider: Class 2B Licence – with own motorbike
  • For Dispatch Driver: Class 3 Licence (Preferably to hold both Class 2B and Class 3 licences)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and sample handling procedures preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in courier services or healthcare logistics preferred
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
