The Strategy and Policy team is responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing the organizational strategy and defining short and long-term outcomes that advance NVPC's vision and mission
  • Defining NVPC's strategic positioning leveraging its unique strengths and role in the external giving landscape
  • Understanding the external environment, trends and developments on giving and implications on the organisation's strategy
  • Leading the strategic planning process including programme reviews, tracking and assessment of progress towards goals to ensure alignment with their original intent
  • Driving and managing partnerships with key government stakeholders to advance NVPC's strategic objectives and influence policies and programmes with national impact
  • Overseeing matters related to corporate governance, risk management, and legal considerations to ensure that NVPC's strategic decisions are robust, compliant, and aligned with organisational integrity

RESPONSIBILITIES

Organisational Strategy & Planning

  • Facilitate the development and implementation of NVPC's organisational strategy and narrative
  • Provide sector insights and analyses to support strategic decision-making across programmes, products, and initiatives
  • Drive strategic alignment and collaboration across NVPC's platforms and teams
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance and impact of strategies, ensuring timely reporting and analysis of organisational and team KPIs

Government Relations & Partnerships

  • Build and manage strategic relationships with key government stakeholders to influence national policies and programmes
  • Assess public sector priorities, identify collaboration opportunities, and map stakeholder networks and decision-making structures
  • Manage engagement and correspondence with funders and related government teams
  • Coordinate with outreach and institutional partnerships teams to ensure a consistent, aligned approach across public sector engagement

Corporate Governance, Risk Management & Legal

  • Lead enterprise risk management and compliance efforts to safeguard organisational integrity, continuity, and reputation
  • Provide strategic legal and policy guidance to senior leadership on matters with regulatory, legal, or reputational implications, including managing relationships with external legal counsel/agency
  • Oversee governance frameworks, internal audits and controls, and key organisational policies remain current, aligned, and fit for purpose
  • Drive organisation-wide compliance with statutory obligations (e.g. PDPA, COC), and foster a culture of accountability and ethical practice
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Social Sciences or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years in leadership role in operations functions
  • Understanding of business analysis and business requirements gathering discipline preferred
  • Self-starter/entrepreneurial spirit
  • High functioning organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple demands
  • Ability to work independently as well as with teams
  • Ability to demonstrate executive presence with C-level partners
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, business acumen and interpersonal skills
  • Strong prioritisation, planning, and analytical skills
