Job description

As a regional sales and marketing director, you will be responsible for developing sales within your assigned geographic area, managing both direct and indirect sales, as well as technical marketing for our CAD/CAM solutions specialized in the mold and die business. This role involves managing a team of sales representatives and technical support engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions and services that meet customer requirements and align with business objectives and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales growth: Achieve growth and meet sales targets by managing revenue in Asia. Present sales, revenue, and expense reports, along with realistic forecasts to management. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with clients, understanding their needs, and building trust quickly.
  2. Strategic business plan: Design and implement a strategic plan to expand the customer base and strengthen the company's presence in Asia. Identify emerging markets and market shifts, stay informed about new solutions and competitors, and adjust the sales and marketing strategies accordingly to ensure profitability.
  3. Team Management: Set objectives, coach, and monitor performance of sales and technical teams, resellers, and partners in the region. Manage daily activities, delegate tasks, and ensure team efficiency.
  4. Recruitment and employee development: Lead recruitment and onboarding of new team members, providing ongoing training and career development opportunities.
  5. Performance Monitoring: Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and set goals to foster a high-performance culture and support individual growth.
  6. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams and internal/external stakeholders to define requirements and deliverables.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, business, or marketing.
  2. Experience: Over 15 years of experience in the CAD/CAM industry in Asia, managing sales, field marketing, and technical teams across multiple countries. Proven success in complex sales negotiations, with experience in a multicultural, international environment, preferably in the mold and die market.
  3. Language: Fluent in English and at least one other Asian language.
  4. Sales and marketing abilities: Demonstrated ability to engage with key decision-makers, close sales, and craft technical marketing messages targeted at the mold, tool, and die community. Active engagement with local media in these sectors.
  5. Communication Skills: Strong ability to build and sustain relationships with stakeholders, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Management Skills: Experience in team staffing, performance management, conflict resolution, and results-driven leadership.
  7. Delegation: Skilled in assigning responsibilities, granting autonomy, setting expectations, and recognizing achievements.
  8. Organizational Skills: Highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently.
