Job description

This role will oversee all aspects of AI technology development, including computer vision, machine learning, natural language processing, and other AI-driven applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership experience, and a passion for leveraging AI to solve complex problems and deliver business value.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist CTO to manage and motivate the research team in implementing the MGTP to support the corporate wide technologies and research directions and strategies.
• Assist CTO to manage the AI development for corporate wide AI implementation on new products and platforms.
• Assist CTO to build and maintain the knowledgebase and related design guidelines for transferring research result to development teams.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of AI engineers, data scientists, and researchers with the promotion of collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams and departments. Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the success of AI projects and initiative with individuals.
• Oversee the end-to-end development of AI-based products and solutions, from ideation to deployment with high-quality, scalable, and reliable AI systems.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define product requirements and prioritize initiatives.
• Manage the budget for AI development, including resource allocation, tooling, and infrastructure.

Requirement and Qualification:

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• At least 10 years working experiences in both R&D and engineering with at least 5 years in senior R&D management position.
• Proven track record of delivering AI-based products or solutions at scale.
• Strong understanding of AI technologies, including computer vision, natural language processing, and deep learning.
• Experience with AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with edge computing, IoT, and hardware-software integration.
• Strong understanding of big data technologies and data engineering practices.
• Good command of both spoken and written English. Proficient in Mandarin is preferred. (To liaise with mandarin speaking counterpart)
• Knowledge on Embedded and IoT products.
• Quick learner and good team player.
