Job summary

Communicable Diseases Agency seeks a Director of Corporate Communications to lead the agency's strategy and function, shaping how we engage with the public, media and stakeholders on communicable diseases prevention and management.

You will provide strategic counsel to senior management, strengthen CDA's reputation, and ensure readiness for business-as-usual and public health emergencies, with a multidisciplinary team across media relations, marketing, research and service quality.

Qualifications

Excellent communication, writing and editing skills for diverse audiences.
Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Resilient leader capable of guiding high-performing teams under pressure.
Proven experience leading communications strategies and initiatives.
Experience in public health or similarly complex institutional environments is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Set strategic direction for media relations and corporate communications.
Lead crisis and emergency communications capability and plans.
Direct integrated marketing and public engagement initiatives to raise awareness.
Oversee research to understand public knowledge and inform strategies.
Champion citizen-centric service and responsive public inquiries.
