Job summary

Communicable Diseases Agency is seeking a Director of Corporate Communications to shape and lead CDA's communications strategy and function. You will provide strategic counsel to senior management, strengthen public trust, and coordinate efforts across media relations, marketing communications, and research to deliver clear, audience-centred messaging.

The role demands a visionary leader capable of guiding a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic environment, with responsibility for preparedness

Qualifications

15+ years of experience in corporate communications within government or large organisations.
At least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven ability to lead communications teams and strategic initiatives.
Excellent communication, writing and editing skills for diverse audiences.
Experience in public health or government communications is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Set the strategic direction for CDA’s media relations and corporate communications.
Lead crisis and emergency communications planning and readiness.
Oversee marketing communications and public engagement across digital channels.
Manage communications research to inform strategy and measure effectiveness.
Ensure service quality and citizen-centric responses to public inquiries.
