About the role
We are looking for a passionate and energetic individual to join us as Director, Pre-opening. In this key role, you’ll lead the end-to-end launch and brand transition of new Hotels and Serviced Suites across Pan Pacific Hotel Groups (PPHG). From project planning and recruitment to operations and stakeholder coordination, you’ll ensure each opening is delivered on time, on budget, and in line with brand standards.
This role is based at our Corporate Office in Singapore.
Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the VP of Pre-Opening & Operations Support, the Director of Pre-Opening leads the Corporate Office team in managing hotel and serviced suite launches, de-flagging, and brand conversions. This role ensures operational readiness, cross-functional alignment, and a smooth transition from project initiation through to post-opening review. Responsibilities include:
Project Management & Operational Planning
Lead end-to-end hotel pre-openings, de-flagging, and brand conversions across PPHG properties.
Manage timelines, goals, and coordination across departments and consultants.
Oversee space planning, guest facilities setup, uniform planning, and F&B concept alignment.
Develop pre-opening budgets and standard operating procedures; ensure operational readiness pre-launch.
Recruitment & Training
Drive recruitment of key leaders for each property.
Develop staffing plans and implement comprehensive pre-opening training programs.
Lead simulation activities and build a culture aligned with PPHG’s values.
Sales, Marketing & Brand Alignment
Collaborate with Sales & Marketing on room mix, pre-opening campaigns, and promotional efforts.
Ensure consistent rollout of brand standards, loyalty programs, and client engagement strategies.
Identify and close gaps in brand alignment during transitions.
Quality Assurance & Procurement
Conduct site inspections to ensure operational and safety standards are met.
Monitor inventory, procurement strategies, and budget utilization post-opening.
Stakeholder Management
Act as the main liaison with owners, GMs, consultants, and internal teams.
Provide progress updates and facilitate communication across all key stakeholders.
Establish feedback mechanisms to ensure continuous improvement.
General & Organizational Responsibilities
Uphold company values, health and safety practices, grooming standards, and property care.
Carry out other duties as assigned in support of PPHG’s strategic goals.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of corporate-level experience in pre-opening of 4- and 5-star hotels and serviced apartments
Proven track record in successfully launching Hotels and Serviced Suites
Diploma in Hotel Management or a related business discipline
Strong understanding of hospitality trends, operations, and market dynamics
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
Financially savvy, with experience in budgeting and forecasting
Proficient in hotel systems and Microsoft Office
Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings/weekends, and travel as required
Advantageous: Fluency in Mandarin and knowledge of AutoCAD
