A forward-thinking growth agency seeks a Director of User Growth & Operations to lead their growth initiatives in Singapore. The role involves developing user acquisition strategies, performing market analysis, and overseeing a high-performing team. Our client is the Singapore subsidiary of a leading private equity platform under a top-tier Chinese investment group. The company is focused on expanding into overseas markets and supporting the global growth of Chinese brands.
Lead end-to-end user growth initiatives across the funnel—from acquisition, activation, retention to conversion and referral.
Build and implement scalable growth models, run regular A/B testing, user segmentation, and refined operational strategies to maximize user lifetime value.
Manage multi-channel growth campaigns across online and offline platforms, including TikTok, WeChat, Xiaohongshu (RED), App Store optimization, influencer partnerships, viral campaigns, livestream traffic, and private domain operations.
Develop a user engagement system (e.g. points, levels, tasks) and plan high-frequency interactive activities (challenges, community check-ins, livestream Q&A) to boost user activity and retention.
Establish and maintain a core growth dashboard to monitor key performance indicators (LTV, CAC, ARPU, churn rate) in real time.
Conduct regular user behavior and persona analyses to identify actionable insights.
Stay ahead of market trends and competitor strategies. Adjust growth tactics to suit overseas user preferences and identify new market opportunities.
Build and manage a high-performing growth operations team covering user ops, community, and analytics, with clear KPIs and performance goals.
Collaborate closely with product, tech, brand, and content teams to embed growth features into the product (e.g. referral tools, membership systems, content distribution).
Lead cross-border projects and liaise with HQ teams to align local growth results with broader business strategies.
Bachelor's degree or above with at least 8 years of relevant experience in user growth or operations, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of executing full-cycle growth initiatives. Prior experience in content, tool-based, or education platforms is preferred.
Deep understanding of the WeChat ecosystem, TikTok, Xiaohongshu, and hands-on experience in driving traffic via short video/livestream channels.
Strong data skills: proficiency in SQL, Python, Excel, and BI tools; able to independently perform user behavior modeling and ROI analysis.
Strong user empathy and ability to uncover user needs via interviews, research, and data mining.
Highly results-oriented, structured in approach, and able to translate complex business goals into executable plans.
Keen interest in emerging technologies such as AI tools, AIGC content, and automation. Practical experience is a plus.
Familiarity with Chinese growth playbooks and ability to adapt them to local (Singapore/SEA) cultural context.
