Overview of Role

A Director of Sales - MICE at Conrad Hotels and Resorts contributes to the sales plan that maximizes revenue by promoting conference facilities and guest rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to group RFPs with proposals and sales presentations, negotiate, and close hotel sales.
  • Maximize revenue from Conference & Events.
  • Prepare contracts aligned with current business and pricing conditions.
  • Conduct site inspections and host potential clients.
  • Review sales and revenue plans, identify gaps, and implement proactive measures to meet targets.
  • Contribute to the hotel's selling strategy and ensure team adherence.
  • Understand the competitive marketplace and implement strategies to maintain competitiveness.
  • Develop the team to uphold high standards and proactive selling culture.
  • Build relationships with colleagues and external contacts like PCOs, Event Planners, NTOs, and partners like Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre.
  • Create and execute a sales plan with targets based on market analysis.
  • Provide comprehensive product information to clients using sales resources.
  • Produce timely reports for management.
  • Participate in industry events and represent the hotel at trade fairs and workshops.
  • Monitor offers and discounts for repeat bookings and conduct 'Bring Back Old Business' initiatives.
  • Review sales activities to ensure minimum activity levels.
  • Develop sales call plans and collaborate with other departments to enhance guest experience.
  • Support the Commercial Director in team training, performance assessments, and coaching.
  • Ensure accurate data entry adhering to market segmentation and Delphi standards.
  • Cross-sell F&B outlets when opportunities arise.
  • Forecast future revenue with reasonable accuracy.
  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned by the Commercial Director.
