As we continue to grow our footprint, we are seeking a top-notch Director of Business Development to spearhead our expansion in the dynamic Southeast Asian/APAC market.

Role Overview:

The role will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing new hotel and F&B opportunities across the region. You will play a key role in expanding SHG’s portfolio through strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and new market entries.

  • Lead the end-to-end business development process for new hotel and F&B opportunities in Southeast Asia
  • Identify potential markets, partners, and locations aligned with SHG’s brand strategy
  • Build strong networks with developers, investors, property owners, and key decision-makers
  • Evaluate market studies, feasibility reports, and commercial terms to support investment decisions
  • Prepare and present compelling business cases and proposals to the executive team
  • Represent SHG at industry conferences, networking events, and roadshows in the region
  • Collaborate closely with legal, finance, and operations teams throughout the deal cycle
  • Monitor competitive landscape and provide strategic insights for growth

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • Proven track record in business development, investment, or development roles within hospitality (hotels and/or F&B)
  • Minimum 8–10 years’ experience, preferably with a hospitality operator or investment firm
  • Deep understanding of the Southeast Asian market and its cultural/business nuances
  • Strong network within the regional hospitality and real estate sector
  • Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and strategic thinking skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region
