Job summary

Taiwan Cooperative Bank Ltd Singapore Branch is seeking an experienced professional to lead Operations, oversee loan and treasury settlements, and implement robust controls in a MAS‑driven environment.

You will manage a small team, ensure dual controls and detailed record‑keeping, and work closely with Compliance to meet AML/CFT standards while maintaining high service and risk standards across wholesale banking activities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
• At least 5 years’ wholesale/corporate banking operations experience, including loan/drawdowns, deposits and treasury settlements.
• Experience leading an operations team in a branch or head office environment.
• Familiarity with MAS requirements: CDD, sanctions screening, wire transfers, and outsourcing controls.
• Ability to lead a lean team and enforce strict checks, segregation of duties and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee Operations Department including processing and settlement activities.
• Formulate and update SOPs; ensure efficiency, scalability and regulatory alignment.
• Ensure maker-checker, dual controls and signature verification across operations.
• Oversee loan drawdowns, disbursements, repayments, interest settlements and bookings.
• Supervise deposit operations and ensure controls before funds release.
• Oversee settlement of treasury/investment transactions via banks and custodians.
• Review daily reconciliations of nostro/vostro/MAS accounts; resolve breaks and ageing items.
• Embed risk-aware culture; enforce controls, KYC, and AML/CFT requirements.
• Coordinate with Compliance on MAS guidelines and policies; support audits and inspections.
• Manage branch admin, vendor relations and office facilities to maintain secure environment.
• Report operations performance and incidents to General Manager; participate in Management Committees.
