A leading global footwear brand in Singapore is hiring a Commercial Merchandise Director to execute the product strategy across APAC. You will manage the DTC Merchandising team, ensuring optimal product flows and promotional strategies while leading a high-performance team. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of merchandising experience with strong analytical and communication skills. Overview

Seeking a highly Commercial Merchandise Director who thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment and is keen to work within a passionate and driven leadership unit.

This person will be responsible for delivering the successful execution of the product strategy for Crocs Brand across all APAC owned retail stores & digital channels through best practice merchandise process that enables enhanced consumer experience.

The candidate will be a key member of the regional merchandising team and should be highly agile as well as an excellent communicator in order to act as an influential voice for the APAC Region to both global and country-level cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
  • To operate both at a strategic level and have a hands-on approach with overseeing the DTC Merchandising team and delivering the Merchandising strategy
  • Build consumer right regional assortments paired back to Brand growth strategy
  • Oversee product launch calendar driving out optimal newness flow; ensure key launch dates are met and enable 100% right first-time activations across all markets
  • Direct quarterly Promotional strategy including in-store activations, tentpole promotions, deals and events to optimize revenue and margin
  • Oversee the weekly trading process. Support country managers to complete decks and review reports for insights and actions. Be an active participant in trading meetings to review business performance. Make suggestions to drive revenue and profit.
  • Help to compile regional overview of weekly trading actions for Management approval. Share latest insights on product reactions
  • Flag Regional business risk & opportunity based on latest trading conditions. Complete bi-weekly margin reforecast for Finance
  • Review country Seasonal product forecasts at relevant gates and work with DTC planning lead to guide and influence outcomes
  • Partner with VM/onsite to ensure Seasonal product prioritization aligns to strategy
  • Feed into monthly and seasonal recaps/hindsight to derive learnings and actions
  • Bubble up market level consumer insight and competitor activities
  • Work closely with your peers to communicate the trading strategy, and ensure they are bought into new ways of working
  • Constantly strive to develop, evolve and coach to better serve the business
  • Develops team succession planning to identify, select and develop people to meet future growth plans
  • Lead a high performing team with drive, energy and pace to deliver results for the brand
  • Partner closely with counterparts in Planning, Allocation, Marketing, VM, Digital, Commercial teams & Store Operations.
