Job description

Job Purpose: As the Director of Marketing Communications, you will lead Hioki’s global MarCom function from Singapore to support our strategic goal of increasing overseas sales contribution. You will be responsible for driving brand consistency and awareness across all touchpoints—digital, offline, and marketing material production—while working closely with HQ in Japan and global subsidiaries.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Establish and lead Hioki’s global MarCom HQ in Singapore.
  • Develop and execute integrated global marketing communications strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Ensure consistency of brand identity and messaging across all markets and platforms.
  • Serve as the strategic link between Singapore MarCom HQ, Japan HQ, and global sales subsidiaries.

Digital & Content Marketing

  • Oversee development and performance of digital campaigns (website, SEO/SEM, social media, email, video).
  • Guide content strategy including white papers, webinars, and video marketing tailored to regional audiences.
  • Implement marketing automation tools and analytics to track ROI and optimize campaigns.

Branding & Offline Communications

  • Manage global brand guidelines and ensure adherence across regions.
  • Lead the development of physical and digital marketing assets: brochures, event booths, catalogs, manuals, packaging, etc.
  • Support product launches, technical conferences, and brand-led events globally.

Team & Vendor Management

  • Build and lead a cross-functional team including designers, writers, and digital marketers.
  • Oversee agencies, vendors, and freelance partners to ensure quality and timeliness.
  • Coordinate closely with Japan HQ’s product, R&D, and MarCom liaison teams

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field. Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of marketing/communications experience with least 5 years in a leadership role and 3 years in managing international team.
  • Experience in B2B industrial, technology, or instrumentation sectors is a strong advantage.
  • Proven track record in digital and offline campaign management across multiple countries.
  • Experience in SaaS is a plus point.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate business goals into marketing initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of global branding, content marketing, and production processes.
  • High proficiency in managing digital tools, analytics, CRM, and marketing platforms.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Chinese, Japanese or other Asian languages is a plus.
