Job summary

Meta seeks a Director of Manufacturing Transformation to steer the strategic evolution of manufacturability, scaling to production, and continuous improvement across a global supply chain. You will define roadmaps, build a global manufacturing engineering organization, and partner with product, operations, and supply chain leaders to drive yield, quality, cost, and time-to-volume improvements.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in manufacturing engineering, NPI, or manufacturing operations in consumer electronics or hardware.
• Experience leading managers and distributed engineering teams.
• Experience defining manufacturing strategy for high-volume electromechanical or optoelectronic products.
• Experience partnering with contract manufacturers and global supply chain.
• Ability to communicate strategy and program risk to executives.
• Experience scaling manufacturing for wearables, AR/VR, or similar consumer electronics.
• Experience building manufacturing engineering organizations from early-stage to production readiness.
• Familiarity with SPC, lean manufacturing, and structured problem-solving at global scale.
• Experience leading manufacturing transformation programs with automation or smart factory tech.

Responsibilities

• Lead the long-term manufacturing transformation roadmap across Meta's hardware lines.
• Build and lead manufacturing engineering managers and specialists across global sites.
• Partner with product, operations, and supply chain leadership to improve yield, quality, cost, and time-to-volume.
• Drive systemic improvements in design-for-manufacturability and production ramp.

Meta is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Transformation to lead the strategic evolution of how Meta's hardware products are designed for manufacturability, scaled into production, and continuously improved across a global supply chain. This role sits at the intersection of manufacturing engineering, operational strategy, and product development, with direct impact on Meta's consumer hardware portfolio spanning augmented and virtual reality devices, wearables, and next-generation computing platforms. You will define the long-term manufacturing transformation roadmap, build and lead organizations of manufacturing engineering managers and specialists, and partner with product, operations, and supply chain leadership to drive systemic improvements in yield, quality, cost, and time-to-volume across Meta's hardware product lines.

• 12+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, new product introduction, or manufacturing operations within a consumer electronics or hardware product company
• Experience leading and developing organizations of managers and engineering teams across geographically distributed manufacturing environments
• Experience defining and executing manufacturing strategy for complex electromechanical or optoelectronic products at high volume
• Experience partnering with contract manufacturers and global supply chain organizations to drive process capability, quality, and cost improvements
• Experience communicating manufacturing strategy and program risk to executive stakeholders and influencing cross-functional product and operations decisions
• Experience scaling manufacturing operations for wearable devices, AR/VR hardware, or similarly complex consumer electronics with tight form factor and optical precision requirements
• Experience building manufacturing engineering organizations from early-stage capability through high-volume production readiness
• Familiarity with statistical process control, lean manufacturing principles, and structured problem-solving methodologies applied at a global contract manufacturing scale
• Experience leading manufacturing transformation programs that incorporate automation, advanced process control, or smart factory technologies
