Purpose of the role
To develop and execute sales strategies to generate new business, maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, and achieve revenue targets.
Accountabilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs and objectives.
- Present and pitch financial products and services to clients, tailored to their requirements.
- Serve as liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring smooth execution of client requests.
- Stay updated on market trends, financial products, and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with research analysts and other teams to provide clients with insights and market updates.
- Negotiate terms and agreements with clients to finalize sales transactions.
Director Expectations
- Manage a business function, contributing to strategic initiatives, policies, and procedures. Lead multiple complex projects that may be business-wide.
- Manage a large team or sub-function, leading managers and fostering a performance-oriented culture aligned with company values. Alternatively, lead organization-wide projects as a technical expert and thought leader, training and coaching less experienced staff.
- Provide expert advice to senior management and committees to influence decisions outside own function, contributing to strategic initiatives.
- Oversee resourcing, budgeting, and policy creation for a significant sub-function.
- Ensure compliance with policies and regulations, monitoring external environment and influencing regulators or advocacy groups when appropriate.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of industry practices and external market developments.
- Apply advanced analytical and interpretative skills to solve complex problems and design solutions.
- Make significant strategic decisions within own area, exercising management authority.
- Negotiate and influence stakeholders at senior levels both internally and externally.
- Act as principal contact for key clients and other functions or divisions.
- Represent the function and business division as a spokesperson.
