Job Description

As the FP&A Director reporting to Chief Financial Officer at A*STAR, you will play a critical role in driving financial planning and analysis functions across the organization. You will be responsible for providing strategic financial insights, supporting decision-making processes, and ensuring the financial health of A*STAR.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the financial planning and analysis functions including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  2. Lead the team in collaborating with business units to create comprehensive financial plans that create impact through strategic initiatives.
  3. Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management, including early alerts on potential areas of concerns.
  4. Provide leadership in driving efforts to strategically incorporate technology to enhance operational process efficiency and staff productivity.
  5. Provide mentorship and curate development opportunities for staff to expand both their capacity and capability.
  6. Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed.

Job Requirements

  1. Preferably with a professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent).
  2. Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Knowledge of data analytics and data visualization tools is advantageous.
  4. Able to stay updated on regulatory changes and emerging trends to anticipate future challenges and opportunities.
  5. Able to work independently and in a team to deliver outcomes in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
