We are seeking a Director of Food & Beverage (F&B) for Hotel Openings in the Asia Pacific region, with strong culinary and kitchen experience to oversee kitchen design and food quality during pre-opening and operational phases.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Your role is vital, and your responsibilities include:
- Serving as a subject matter expert in F&B, restaurant, bar, and culinary disciplines within APAC.
- Providing guidance on new hotel openings, restaurant concepts, menus, food quality, and kitchen design.
- Participating in pre-opening training for all F&B outlets.
- Assisting with menu creation, recipes, and food testing.
- Training chefs and kitchen teams on management and culinary standards.
- Leading food quality improvements in new and existing hotels.
- Staying informed about culinary trends.
- Reviewing and optimizing kitchen and dining area layouts.
- Supporting F&B, restaurant, and bar concept development during new builds and renovations, reviewing designs and drawings.
- Maintaining and communicating F&B SOPs to ensure consistency with Hilton strategies.
- Collaborating with Architecture, Design & Construction teams to realize F&B concepts in new projects.
- Liaising with opening teams and supporting hotels through pre-opening and opening phases, including training and coordination.
- Performing additional duties as needed to meet business objectives.
WHY YOU’LL BE A GREAT FIT
Minimum qualifications include:
- Over 5 years recent experience in F&B, restaurant, and bar management.
- More than 10 years of F&B experience, including leadership roles managing diverse teams.
- Strong culinary skills and background.
- Knowledge of multi-brand standards and pre-opening processes.
- Deep understanding of F&B management, processes, and procedures.
- Financial acumen in P&L analysis, budgeting, CAPEX, and forecasting.
- Understanding of related departments such as Meetings & Events and Culinary.
- Knowledge of hotel operations, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Excellent organizational and relationship management skills, with a passion for training.
- Willingness to travel approximately 60% of the time.
Preferred but not required:
- Experience in luxury hospitality.
