Job description

Support the Product Owner & team with activities aimed at reducing risk and maintaining a low-risk environment concerning Privacy, Data Quality, Record Keeping, and Data Sovereignty. These activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Successful and timely delivery of Risk Treatment Plans (RTPs) and remediations
  • Implementation of Standards in Business As Usual (BAU) operations
  • Execution and maintenance of controls/frameworks for compliance with Standards and regulations
  • Collaboration with Central Data Office (CDO) and Data Shield Programme (DSP) to roll out risk reduction enablers and Standards implementation
Key Responsibilities
Strategy

Support the Product Owner and Data Risk Squad in enabling Client Coverage and Financial Markets to achieve compliance with the Bank’s Data Management Standards and regulations.

Business
  • Develop understanding of current data, processes, and systems for CIB CC and FM
  • Drive completion of milestones in line with data risk objectives, including RTPs, remediations, and Standards implementation
  • Perform Data Discovery exercises and complete mandatory artefacts
  • Conduct Gap Analysis against Data Standards
  • Coordinate reviews and sign-offs with stakeholders
  • Lead Business Impact Assessments and design Target Operating Models
  • Deliver Change Management outcomes and engage stakeholders effectively
  • Build relationships with programme and business counterparts
  • Manage a team of business analysts to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables
Processes
  • Scope limited to CIB CC and FM processes
  • Guide squads in delivering business value within an Agile environment
  • Lead requirements gathering, design, testing, training, and implementation
  • Set KPIs/KPMs and manage risks proactively
  • Support design and implementation of Target Operating Models and standards
  • Validate deliveries and ensure operational readiness
  • Stay updated on vendor platform releases and functionalities
  • Coordinate with vendors and external resources for capacity support
  • Ensure compliance with Data Conduct standards and operationalize standards and addenda
People & Talent
  • Manage teams to ensure timely, quality deliverables
  • Promote growth through talent management
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders across CIB CC and FM
Risk Management

Work closely with the Product Owner to reduce Data risks, monitor issues, escalate as needed.

Governance

Support setup and maintenance of governance forums.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

Uphold high standards of ethics, regulatory compliance, and conduct.

  • 10+ years in Financial Institutions or consulting
  • Banking process knowledge essential
  • SME in CIB functions preferred
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with data quality, issue triage, and RCA
  • Knowledge of change management processes
  • Project management experience and relevant certifications
