We are seeking an exceptional finance leader to join our team as Director, Corporate Development, FP&A. This is a pivotal role at the intersection of strategic finance, capital formation, and corporate growth. You will be responsible for shaping and driving the company’s organic and inorganic growth agenda, capital markets strategy, and business planning efforts, while also building a scalable finance function that enables insight-driven decision making.

You’ll lead high-stakes initiatives from M&A and fundraising to market expansion and debt structuring, while managing a small team and working directly with executive leadership. This role requires someone who can shift seamlessly between boardroom strategy and financial model building, with the credibility to influence internally and externally.

What you will do:

Corporate Development and Debt Structuring

  • Identify, evaluate, and execute strategic growth opportunities including M&A, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships
  • Conduct market entry study, M&A strategy and high-level business roadmaps including revenue pools, macro data, competitive landscape and regulatory landscape
  • Educate team with strategic analyses of latest global macro, sector trends and synthesized actionable “So Whats”
  • Drive end-to-end deal execution in close partnership with the CFO, CEO and Debt Raising team, including equity and debt fundraising, investor pitch development, financial and valuation analyses, commercial due diligence, negotiations, and post-deal integration planning.
  • Develop and implement capital efficient funding structures together with the Debt Raising team including warehouse funding, forward flow arrangements, securitization programmes, etc. to enable stable funding for loan originations
  • Build investment cases and present recommendations to senior management, board, and external stakeholders
  • Keep abreast with key competitors and leading global comparables, breaking down their business models, and synthesizing key insights as well as developments
  • Manage and maintain external investor and board relations

FP&A & Strategic Finance

  • Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range strategic planning across the group and country units
  • Develop financial models to support scenario planning, strategic decisions, and business performance tracking
  • Partner with C-level leaders, Functional/ Country Heads, and Data team to provide financial insights and analyses, drive resource allocation, and develop and monitor strategic KPIs (leading and lagging)
  • Lead monthly and quarterly business performance reviews with senior leadership

Team Leadership & Cross-functional Influence

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of finance professionals; build bench strength for future leadership
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to support business scale-up and innovation
  • Act as a trusted thought partner to the CEO, CFO and other C-level leaders

What we are looking for:

  • More than 12 years of progressive experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or strategic finance
  • Demonstrated experience in leading M&A or strategic transactions end-to-end
  • Deep understanding of financial modeling, valuation, capital structure, and business planning
  • Strong exposure to debt capital markets, including structured financing, asset-backed lending, or securitization. Bonus for experience within Southeast Asia
  • Strategic thinker with excellent communication and execution skills, comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with business partners and executives
  • Prior experience in fintech, digital lending, payments, or financial services, preferably in B2B, across Southeast Asia is a strong advantage
