Director, Corporate Communications & Content (Pharmacy Benefit Management)

Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Communications, the Director, Corporate Communications and Content plays a crucial role in RxBenefits' corporate and marketing communications team. The role involves developing and executing a content roadmap to boost brand awareness, engagement, and affinity among internal and external audiences.

Position Overview

The Director, Corporate Communications and Content serves as a collaborative, cross-functional storyteller with excellent project skills. They lead in identifying content needs across channels and audiences to support overall company goals. The ideal candidate will quickly grasp RxBenefits' value proposition, brand positioning, and messaging. Leading a team of three, they will develop compelling content and select appropriate channels and tactics—whether external, internal, owned, social, or paid—for various initiatives and campaigns aimed at brand building, corporate communications, and demand generation. The role requires strong copywriting and content creation skills, a sense of urgency, and the ability to manage multiple projects seamlessly.

Responsibilities
  • Understand RxBenefits' products, services, and industry positions intimately.
  • Stay current on pharmacy benefit trends and client and employee needs.
  • Identify content and communication opportunities to position the company and its executives as pharmacy benefit experts.
  • Develop content in various formats including long- and short-form, website copy, teasers, newsletter copy, webinar scripts, video clips, and social posts.
  • Support demand generation campaigns and marketing initiatives through appropriate content and channels.
  • Develop content that supports and enhances RxBenefits' brand identity beyond specific campaigns.
  • Keep abreast of content marketing best practices for creation, curation, reuse, and optimization.
  • Build, maintain, and execute a content calendar in collaboration with marketing colleagues and internal SMEs.
  • Manage multiple projects, including ongoing campaigns and larger initiatives like website updates, using tools like Asana.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to ensure content is compelling and meets business objectives.
  • Apply digital marketing best practices to optimize web content for SEO, domain authority, visits, conversions, and leads.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS in journalism, communications, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 12-15 years of experience in storytelling and content development, preferably in journalism or communications roles.
  • Pharmacy/PBM experience required.
  • Experience managing teams or direct reports.
  • Strong project management, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Ability to produce high-quality content across channels and formats.
  • Editorial mindset with knowledge of content types and engagement strategies.
  • Ability to switch between marketing and corporate communication needs.
  • Strong knowledge of AP style and brand style guides.
  • Understanding of multimedia projects and partnership with creative teams.
  • Basic understanding of SEO, content structure, and measurement.
