Director, Category Management

JLL Corporate Sourcing and Procurement team is seeking an experienced Tail Spend Sourcing Program Lead to support the implementation and ongoing management of JLL tail spend solution. The role will leverage existing P2P tools and a tail spend solution/provider to achieve cost reductions, operational efficiencies and create an outstanding user experience.

Primary responsibilities:

1. Provide governance and management of our tail spend solution.
2. Accountable for the tail spend provider performance and providing necessary oversight to our provider of sourcing services – savings delivery, KPI, SLAs, etc.
3. Accountable for delivering savings targets.
4. Engage internal clients to identify and implement recommended changes and enhancements to improve user experience.
5. Manage and mitigate risks associated with the tail spend provider relationship while strategically driving the vendor’s performance and identifying cost savings opportunities.
6. Oversee the transition of services to tail spend solution partner and ongoing relationship management.
7. Interface and influence various senior level stakeholders and leaders within the organization.
8. Maintain deep expertise of operations that are being outsourced to the tail spend provider and develop effective solutions to both operational and contractual problems.
9. Oversee the coordination and incorporation of category strategies and playbooks in partnership with Sourcing and Procurement teams and tail spend solution.
10. Build and maintain excellent relationships with internal clients and colleagues at all levels.
11. Point of escalation and business / provider liaison for issues.
12. The Tail Spend Sourcing Program Manager will collaborate closely with the Category Strategy Leads, Site/Regional Procurement and Purchase-Pay-Pay Shared Services colleagues to enable an end-to-end procurement process.

Required Experience:

1. Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a technical major or business concentration.
2. 5 years indirect sourcing, procurement or category management.
3. Global / regional work experience across multiple category teams, site procurement and P2P shared services.
4. Highly proficient in analytics, negotiations, program management and communications.

Preferred Experience:

1. 5+ years of tail spend management expertise.
2. 5+ years working at a firm that provides Tail Spend solution.
3. Vendor management.
4. Procurement Operations / P2P.
5. MBA.
