Title and Summary

Director, Business Development, CNPF Asia Pacific

The Director, Business Development, is dedicated to the Asia Pacific region with a focus on driving commercial success with Corpay Cross Border (XB) business in the AP market. This role sits at the intersection of sales, product management, and customer engagement, ensuring that Corpay’s cross-border products are effectively referred to our FI partners. The role reports directly to the CNPF regional lead and has a dual line to the Corpay’s Central Lead to ensure customer centricity and systematic partnership execution.

As a Director, Business Development, you are a sales-driven professional with a deep understanding of local market dynamics, FI customer needs, and payments & XB products positioning. You will work closely with Account Management teams, Transfer Solutions leads, and other key stakeholders to execute the joint go-to-market strategy, drive volume and revenue growth, and ensure customer satisfaction as part of the referral agreement.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Learn Corpay’s business value proposition and product solutions, including pre- and post-sales activities such as onboarding and implementation, to facilitate and expedite deal closures.
  2. Collaborate with Regional CNPF Lead, Regional President, and Divisional Presidents to curate a target list of FIs by tier for referrals based on Mastercard relationships, current payment offerings, existing providers/partnerships, customer base, and market opportunity.
  3. Build relationships with Mastercard Account Management teams to promote referral business, ensuring systematic maintenance and execution of the referral list, and escalate as needed.
  4. Manage the end-to-end pipeline, reporting in Salesforce, with monthly reviews at the regional level and reporting into a global view. Attend meetings between account managers, FIs, and Corpay to ensure proper introduction and description of topics.
  5. Ensure comprehensive handover details to Corpay, including stakeholder mapping, and participate in joint meetings.
  6. Assist in refining KPIs to reflect referral and acquisition opportunities, learn Corpay’s operations, provide feedback, and suggest improvements to the referral process.
  7. Track reasons for referral success/failure, maintain lessons learned, and engage during QBRs with Corpay.

All about you

  • Account management skills and/or sales experience.
  • Deep understanding of the payments industry, especially cross-border payments.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute quantifiable business plans.
  • Experience in business development and sales across the AP region, preferably in B2B payments.
  • Strong pipeline management skills using effective sales methodologies.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building skills, including at the C-suite level.
  • Analytical and operational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
