Director, Business Development and Sustainability
    The ideal candidate for the Director, Business Development and Sustainability position should possess a Master's degree in Business Development, Fundraising, Sales & Marketing, or related fields. A Bachelor's degree with extensive experience may also be considered. Additionally, a minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in business development, fundraising, donor engagement, resource mobilization, or private sector sales & marketing is required.The successful candidate must have a proven track record of securing large-scale CSR and institutional grants, along with demonstrated success in corporate partnerships, private sector engagement, and individual giving programs. A solid understanding of India's development funding landscape, CSR regulations, and blended financing trends is essential. Proficiency in Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Office, proposal budgeting, and donor systems is also a requirement. Fluency in English is a must, while knowledge of additional regional languages is considered an advantage.As the Director, Business Development and Sustainability, your primary responsibilities will include leading the design and implementation of a multi-channel resource mobilization strategy. You will be tasked with driving the diversification of funding through institutional grants, CSR partnerships, and individual giving programs. Building high-level relationships with donors, corporate leaders, foundations, and high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) is crucial. Representing ChildFund in donor forums and resource mobilization alliances at national and international levels is also part of the role.Furthermore, you will oversee business development processes, including opportunity scanning, proposal writing, budgeting, and submission. It is important to mentor and strengthen a high-performing business development team, promote ethical fundraising practices, ensure donor compliance, and align with ChildFund's mission. Supporting emergency fundraising efforts during crises is also an essential aspect of the role.In terms of competencies, the ideal candidate should possess strategic thinking and innovation skills, expertise in donor intelligence and market analysis, strong negotiation and relationship management abilities, and proven leadership in technical writing for proposals.
