About the role

Join our growing team as the Director of Business Development. In this full-time position based in Melbourne, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and driving strategic growth initiatives. As an integral member of the team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the organisation's continued success.

What you'll be doing
  • Drive sales activities to achieve retention and penetration objectives in the designated market.
  • Cultivate and uphold account relationships to ensure smooth integration of new business and foster customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and assess new sales leads, conduct prospecting meetings, and qualify potential customers.
  • Create and implement intricate sales strategies to seek out new opportunities within the designated geography.
  • Conduct customer analysis to understand their needs, evaluate product/service impact, and identify key offerings for promotion.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective customers.
  • Prepare regular sales reports reflecting key metrics outlined by the company.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Inside Sales, and other internal teams to ensure a superior customer experience.
What we're looking for
  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing or related field preferred
  • 8+ years sales experience with at least 5+ years in sales management in a similar role
  • A proven track record of receiving sales awards and achieving success in B2B sales roles.
  • Experience in transportation sales is highly desirable
