Job Overview
The Director of Brand Design sets the design strategy and creative direction for our iconic Brands so they are modern, engaging and can scale worldwide. They will have one eye towards tomorrow, collaborating with colleagues across brand, marketing, operations, and technology to define and design the future of the brand identity. At the same time, they need to create and provide the necessary guidelines and training to maintain the quality and consistency of our brands today.
Responsibilities:
- Sets the design strategy and creative direction of our iconic brand identity programs.
- Provide inspiration and training to ensure the design strategy and guidelines are understood and executed to our standards.
- Organize, manage, and execute large scale brand design programs.
- Capture and share Brand Design knowledge and best practices across the global organization.
- Manage and mentor design talent to grow our future leaders.
- Lead briefs with external agencies to create, improve or evolve our brand design programs.
- Maintain close relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business drivers and market context.
- Responsible for the maintenance, training & implementation of RBI’s four brands visual identity systems across international markets
- Manage in-house team of brand designers who support various teams for development of new distinctive brand assets.
- Responsible for managing the DAM creative assets.
- Work with Restaurant Design and Architecture teams to ensure we have cohesive brand experience of our brands across global markets.
Qualifications:
- At least bachelor’s degree (Science or Arts) from an accredited design program
- Minimum 8-years of professional experience in related field
- 2+ years of experience in project management. Preferred experience in Design Project Management, (Graphic, Brand and or Communication Design).
- Experience creating and managing modern and sophisticated brand identity systems at scale.
- Experience creating and managing brand identity systems that include motion, animation and sound.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office stack such as Teams, Smartsheet, PowerPoint, Excel.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, and Adobe Cloud.
