Job summary

National University Health System (NUHS) Research Office seeks an experienced Biostatistician to lead statistical activities across clinical trials and biomedical research. The role includes directing statistical work, mentoring staff, and developing/teaching statistics courses within PhD/Master programs.

The successful candidate will spearhead research activities, collaborate with trial teams, and contribute to NUHS's national and global profile in clinical research and biostatistics education.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Statistics or related field.
• Minimum 20 years relevant experience including at least 10 years in managerial/supervisory roles.
• Strong ability to lead, manage staff and interact with senior stakeholders.
• Proficient in statistical software: SPSS, STATA, SAS, R, Canvas.
• Substantial teaching experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Biostatistics Unit with strategic direction and mentorship of staff.
• Oversee statistical analyses for diverse clinical trials and biomedical research projects.
• Direct course development, teach statistics at PhD/Master levels, and conduct workshops.
• Drive grant and publication submissions to enhance NUHS research output.
• Collaborate with clinical trial teams to ensure robust statistical methodology.
• Promote statistical practice and knowledge across NUHS.
