Job summary

Visa seeks a Director – Agentic Commerce based in Singapore to lead the Asia Pacific go-to-market. You will shape ecosystem partnerships, drive pilots with AI platforms, merchants and issuers, and translate capabilities into scalable market opportunities.

Role requires deep experience in product strategy, partnerships, and payments, with strong leadership and communication skills. Hybrid work in Singapore with 3 in-office days per week is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of Asia Pacific go-to-market strategy for agentic commerce, including ecosystem positioning and market activation.
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with AI platforms, merchants, issuers, gateways, and ecosystem enablers.
  • Drive and scale pilot programs across the agentic commerce value chain and tokenization flows.
  • Translate capabilities into clear market narratives, commercialization plans, and scalable opportunities.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, Risk, and Market teams to drive execution from concept to launch.
  • Identify ecosystem gaps and operational learnings to inform product and platform strategy.
  • Represent Visa externally as a thought leader through client conversations and industry events.
  • Influence senior leadership and external partners on AI-led commerce and trust frameworks.
  • Stay current with AI agents, payments regulation, identity, and ecosystem standards.
  • Support scalable frameworks and regional readiness initiatives for Asia Pacific adoption.

Job Description

Visa’s Agentic Commerce team is responsible for defining and scaling Visa’s participation in the emerging agent-led commerce ecosystem, where AI agents discover, decide, and transact on behalf of consumers and businesses. The team works across AI platforms, merchants, issuers, fintechs, and ecosystem enablers to shape how commerce evolves in the AI era. Working closely with Product, Commercial, Technology, Legal, and Regional teams, the function focuses on building strategic partnerships, enabling ecosystem readiness, driving pilot execution, and translating emerging capabilities into scalable market opportunities across Asia Pacific.

The role is based in Singapore and will report into the Senior Director, Agentic Commerce within Visa Growth Products team.

What a Director – Agentic Commerce does at Visa:

  • Lead development and execution of Visa’s Asia Pacific go-to-market strategy for agentic commerce, including ecosystem positioning, partnership strategy, and market activation.
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with AI platforms, merchants, fintechs, issuers, gateways, and ecosystem enablers shaping the future of AI-led commerce experiences.
  • Drive and scale pilot programs across the agentic commerce value chain, including AI shopping agents, merchant enablement, orchestration partners, tokenization flows, and transaction experiences.
  • Translate emerging Visa capabilities and industry protocols into clear market narratives, commercialization plans, and scalable ecosystem opportunities.
  • Partner closely with regional and global Product, Engineering, Legal, Risk, and Market teams to drive execution from concept through launch.
  • Identify ecosystem gaps, product readiness needs, and operational learnings that inform Visa’s long‑term product and platform strategy for agentic commerce.
  • Represent Visa externally as a thought leader in the AI and agentic commerce ecosystem through client conversations, industry engagements, workshops, and strategic partnerships.
  • Influence senior stakeholders internally and externally on the evolution of AI-led commerce, digital identity, tokenization, payments orchestration, and trust frameworks.
  • Stay current with developments across AI agents, commerce infrastructure, payments regulation, identity, tokenization, and emerging ecosystem standards relevant to agentic commerce.
  • Support the creation of scalable frameworks, client engagement models, and regional readiness initiatives that help accelerate ecosystem adoption across Asia Pacific.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

What you will need:

  • 12 years of experience across product strategy, partnerships, business development, payments, fintech, AI platforms, ecommerce, or emerging technology ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of digital commerce, payments, tokenization, APIs, ecosystem partnerships, and emerging AI-driven consumer experiences.
  • Experience driving complex cross-functional initiatives and partnerships from strategy through execution in a matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-evolving spaces while balancing strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.
  • Strong commercial and strategic thinking skills with experience shaping go‑to‑market strategies, ecosystem models, or market expansion initiatives.
  • Ability to engage and influence senior leadership, external partners, and cross-functional stakeholders across markets and global teams.
  • Experience working with emerging technologies, AI ecosystems, fintech platforms, digital wallets, ecommerce players, or marketplace ecosystems preferred.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and executive presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts into actionable business narratives.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify scalable opportunities and ecosystem implications.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
