Job summary

Singapore Airlines invites qualified pilots to join our fleet as First Officers. Interviews and assessments are conducted in Singapore, including simulator testing and medical checks, with training provided during the process.

Applicants should hold ATPL/CPL/MEIR with CAAS validation or frozen ATPL, plus 1000 turboprop hours and ICAO English Level 5. Eligibility includes height, vision, and medical criteria; successful candidates join a structured career pathway.

Qualifications

• GCE A Level/IB/IGCSE or equivalent; or 5 O-Level credits including English, Maths, Science.

Responsibilities

• Attend online application, computer assessment, interview, simulator assessment and medical check-up in Singapore.
• Undergo training to acquire Aircraft Type Rating where applicable; accelerated training possible.
• Be assigned to any SIA Group fleet on appointment as First Officer with training and career development.

Job description

Requirements

• Holds a valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) or Commercial Pilot Licence with Multi-Engine Aircraft Instrument Rating (CPL/MEIR) with frozen ATPL recognized or can be validated by CAAS.
• Minimum of 1000 total flying hours as pilot of turboprop aircraft. (A minimum of 100 PIC hours will be required for candidates holding foreign pilot licences).
• Minimum GCE ‘A’ Level / IB / IGCSE or equivalent, Polytechnic Diploma or Degree. Otherwise, you must have obtained a minimum of 5 GCE ‘O’ Level credits (or its equivalent).These must include English, Mathematics and a Science subject, taken at one sitting.
• Able to speak and understand English with ICAO English Level 5 for inflight radio-telephony communications.
• Myopia of not more than 800 degrees and astigmatism of not more than 300 degrees per eye.
• Must possess valid Class 1 Medical Certificate (recognized or can be validated by CAAS).
• Minimum height of 1.58m to carry out safety and emergency procedure on board.

Selection Process

All interviews will be held in Singapore. Applicants undergo various stages comprising online application, computer assessment, interview, simulator assessment and medical check-up.

Training

Where applicable, successful candidates will be trained to acquire an Aircraft Type Rating. Eligible candidates may be placed under an accelerated training programme.

Bond

Successful candidates will be required to serve for the duration of the training, and for a period of 7 years from the date of appointment as First Officer.
