Job summary

MINDEF in Singapore seeks a Defence Relations professional to manage DR with countries under their purview, planning and executing engagement activities and providing timely updates for visits and multilateral events.

You will prepare key briefings for stakeholders, perform secretariat functions and contribute to MINDEF’s mission to safeguard Singapore's peace and security through deterrence and diplomacy. Applicants with no experience may apply; appointment commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Education in Political Science, History, International Relations or a related field.
• Conscientiousness and initiative.
• Diplomatic inclination and strong teamwork abilities.
• Competent knowledge of current affairs and international geopolitics.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in vernacular languages is advantageous.
