Job summary

A leading company in Singapore seeks to hire someone for a vital role in digitizing scientific specimens. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant field and be proficient in handling equipment as well as managing tasks efficiently while collaborating with the team.   • Experience in digitization and collection handling.

Responsibilities

  • Support digitization of scientific specimens and perform equipment calibrations.
  • Handle botanical specimens and coordinate material flow efficiently.
  • Report daily progress to the Team Lead.

Job description

Job Responsibilites

  • Support the digitization of scientific specimens according to approved protocols (Requires long standing hours & monitoring equipment)
  • Handling botanical specimens and library items as per protocol
  • Perform & ensure daily equipment calibrations
  • Support minor software/hardware fixes with external assistance when needed
  • Maintain high productivity without compromising quality
  • Representing company professionally and abide to project policies
  • Coordinate with team to manage material flow efficiently
  • Collaborate with team to meet deadline and targets
  • Report daily progress to the Team Lead with assigned tools
  • Relay client wishes and feedback to the TL

Requirement:

  • Preferably Degree and/or equivalent professional experience in Photography/Library Science/Biological Sciences/Art History/Archiving/Humanities/Related Fields and/or Transferable Skillsets
  • Past digitization experience and/or collection handling
  • Ability to directly interface with engineering to find solutions
  • Excellent manual skills & attentive to detail
  • Ability to stand while working for project duration
  • Comfortable with repititive tasks
  • Results-oriented, hands-on problem-solver
  • Proficient in using tech tools to assess quality
  • Able to spot & resolve workflow issues
  • Willing to work in close proximity with other team members & client personnel.
