Role: Digital Strategist / Planner (Ecommerce)

Location: Mumbai, India

About the role:

This role will be underpinned by passion and ambition, and those with experience in leading digital content and social campaigns within a creative agency will have an advantage. The Digital Strategist will report into the Account Director and partner with the account, delivery, and creative team leads. This client-facing role requires you to work closely with client brand teams, central marketing project teams, and the client's agency partners.

What you will be doing:
  • Core functions:
  • Develop insights and strategic responses to briefs across campaign, content, and new product development briefs.
  • Champion and drive a mobile-first and short-form content agenda.
  • Help evaluate ideas and concepts against clients' best practices, strategy frameworks, and mobile-first approach.
  • Establish effective ways of working with the client internal teams and specialist partners.
  • Act as a content expert and advocate.
  • Advise clients and teams on effective Content Strategies that inform content briefs and requirements.
  • Assess, develop, and implement effective content strategies across all necessary touchpoints.
  • Manage and facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions and workshops on all aspects of content and content strategy.
  • Facilitate right first-time content, ensuring the right insights and collaboration to direct content strategy development.
  • Work with CMI / PDC functions in developing relevant measurement approaches and frameworks.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop best-in-class content and strategies informed by consumer, category, channel, and performance insights.
  • Own Best Practice Case Studies showcasing clients' global approach to content.
Tools and Reports:
  • Use clients' insight tools and reports to inform early thinking and gain an initial understanding of consumer, category, or channel learning.
Collaboration:
  • Help develop briefs and give agency briefings collaborating with central, brand, insight media, and agency partner teams.
  • Work on audience targeting, user experience, customer journey, content strategy, editorial calendars, content calendars, and content guidelines.
Distribution Strategy:
  • Craft the right brief for the defined job to be done, collaborating with brand teams on distribution strategy.
Best Practice:
  • Drive a best practice approach to content and strategic quality assurance.
  • Support a test and learn approach to content strategy with the clients' insight team and specialist partners.
What you need to be great in this role:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior strategy role with content strategy as a core function.
  • Strong understanding of content marketing across various platforms.
  • Passion for keeping up with trends and technological advances.
  • Experience in a multi-stakeholder environment and group leadership.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Interest in AI and new technologies.
