The Opportunity

We are seeking a Digital Business Analyst to join our Data & Digital team. As a Digital Business Analyst, you will enhance a team of business analysts and data professionals working on key applications and strategic projects for Commercial Insurance. The Data and Digital team is dedicated to driving AI adoption and data maturity within our business unit by engaging with stakeholders. You will serve as the point of contact for some automation or data initiatives, manage and coordinate releases, define and plan projects, manage communications with stakeholders and developers, capture, analyze and prioritize business requirements, translate them into solution requirements, and ensure their high-quality implementation throughout the lifecycle. You possess knowledge of the insurance industry and have a strong interest in deepening your expertise in Commercial Insurance.

Your Role

The primary responsibilities of a Business Analyst:

  • Plans, conducts / facilitates elicitation sessions for business requirements gathering with subject matter experts and end users
  • Collaborate with data scientists and business users to understand requirements to support GenAI and automation use cases.
  • Produces requirement specifications and outlines solution design documents throughout the project life cycle
  • Contributes to business cases, including cost / benefit analysis, risk assessment, project scope definition and development of a high-level schedule
  • Collaborates with the technical team or vendors throughout the development, testing, and deployment phases
  • Participates in design and development of digital and data solutions, test plan, UAT, and user training activities
  • Participates in production support & maintenance activities planning
  • Create and coordinate release plans (in alignment with other related applications)
  • Serves as the main contact for developers and holds regular alignment meetings with the project stakeholders
  • Support Data Governance, Audit controls tasks, as needed
  • Responsible of various application requirements, design documentations

Your Skills and Experience

Your skills and qualifications should ideally include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration / business analytics / Information Technology / Computer Science / Data analytics.
  • Minimum 4 or more years of experience in a business analyst role, process improvement, data analyst or similar capacity
  • Proven experience in business analysis, process improvement, or project management within a corporate environment
  • Experience working in business processes and re-engineering including simplification, digitalization, and automation implementations
  • Proficiency in business process modeling, analysis tools, and methodologies.
  • Delivered projects using methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
  • Basic understanding in computer programming concepts or systems
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle
  • Familiarity with digital technologies
  • Good understanding of intelligent automation technologies and capabilities
  • Experience with some of these - Power App, Power Platform, RPA/UiPath, Power BI, Python, HTML, React js, java, java script, Spring Boot, Fast API, Flask/Streamlit
  • Strong SQL knowledge, exposure to data modelling and APIs
  • Understanding or working experience with UI/UX designing, wireframing using tools like Figma, and developing
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and attention to detail
  • Demonstrates flexibility as needed, takes the lead on initiatives, and shows ownership and accountability
  • Capable of quickly adapting to new methodologies, working under tight deadlines and stressful conditions
  • Expertise in investigative, analytical, and problem-solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
