Core Competencies
- Deep understanding of delivering financial service or Insurance technology solutions to partners, customers, intermediaries (broker and agent) and internal underwriters / operating staff.
- Able to define and design e2e architecture to deliver a scalable, secured, resilient solution across digitalization of sales, servicing and claim for Consumer insurance across product lines.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of IT systems, digital technologies, and emerging trends in the financial service and insurance industry. Proficiency in leveraging technology to enhance consumer channels and streamline operations, and a strong focus on automation.
- Good understanding of insurance products and services, such as accident and health, travel and individual personal line. Familiar with insurance industry regulations, compliance requirements, and emerging innovations in the insurance technology space.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to digitize customer experience with a strong emphasis on leveraging IT capabilities to optimize straight through processing across sales, servicing and claim.
- Design and architect infrastructure across hybrid and cloud environments. Ensure this aligns with the enterprise architecture, support modernization efforts and enable platform reliability for the region.
- Translate business needs into modular, reusable technical architecture.
- Conduct analysis, product evaluation, understanding of technology trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to inform strategy decisions for consumer insurance.
- Evaluate existing capabilities, identify gaps, and propose technology-driven solutions for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align consumer strategies with overall business objectives, emphasizing digital transformation and focusing on the customer, agent, and partners' experience.
- Work with Head of technology across different domain areas in digital, sales, data, operation and claim and contribute to the architecture / solution deliverables, resource plans and estimation.
- Driving alignment and consistency of the architecture, platform strategy and solution design by working with regional and global architecture teams and other stakeholders.
- Owning and governing the architecture and solution design through the entire project implementation phase for consumer initiatives
- Make recommendations on patterns / best practices and implementation decisions
- Identify and work with potential strategic partners, IT teams on mutually beneficial relationships to enhance the partnership network and extend the market reach.
- Work with development / engineering teams to engage in strategic roadmap and delivery projects
Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: Deep industry knowledge on financial service or insurance operations and the related technologies and their competencies. Should have prior programming experience. Must have knowledge and exposure to enterprise architecture, systems architecture and integration architecture standards, frameworks, security controls and other best practices. Experience with Infrastructure and cloud architecture (preferrable for Azure). Strong understanding of networking, security and compute / storage layers.
- Experience: Total overall experience of 12-15yrs with a minimum of 5yrs insurance / financial service technology experience. Strong knowledge of insurance products and services for consumer and digital partnership. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful consumer strategies leveraging technology platforms which resulted in increased revenues or market share. Experience delivering and integrating vendor platforms
- Global/Regional: Ideally have at least 5yrs of regional/global experience with responsibilities over multi-country architecture and delivery. APAC experience is a preference and in particular experience with Korea market is a bonus.
