Weichai Singapore Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a highly motivated Applications Engineer specializing in Diesel Power Generators to join our team. You will ensure quality, performance and reliability through rigorous testing and collaboration with the development team.

From early design evaluation to final QA, you will support product development, create test plans, document results, and help implement improvements that meet industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience in testing, quality control, or applications engineering, preferably with diesel power generators or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive test plans for diesel power generators, ensuring compliance with design and performance specifications.
• Conduct and oversee product testing, including performance, reliability, and adherence to industry standards.
• Identify, document, and report defects or issues discovered during the testing process.
• Work closely with engineers and designers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to generator design and performance.
• Provide technical support and expertise to cross-functional teams to improve product quality and resolve defects.
• Maintain accurate records of all test results, defect logs, and corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed test reports highlighting issues, solutions, and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in the development of new diesel power generator models by providing input on design improvements and operational efficiency.
• Ensure all products are thoroughly tested according to quality standards prior to manufacturing or customer deployment.
• Contribute to process improvements and implement best practices in product testing and quality control.
• Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies to propose innovative solutions for testing and development processes.
