Job summary

Activate Interactive Singapore is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer for a fixed-term contract in Singapore government engagements. You will design, automate, and secure scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines, integrating security into every step of development and operations.

You will work in a collaborative, agile environment, automating provisioning, monitoring, and disaster recovery across cloud and on‑prem environments. Strong cloud, automation, and security expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics
• Experience with high availability, high performance, and high security multi-data centre systems and hybrid cloud environments.
• Proficiency in at least three programming/scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Go).
• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS).
• Experience with automated provisioning tools (Ansible, Terraform).
• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (KVM, VMware, Hyper-V).
• Strong understanding of container technologies (Docker, Fargate ECS).
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, CloudWatch, Open Telemetry).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (GitLab, Github, BitBucket).
• Security certifications such as CREST, CISSP, CISM, or relevant cloud security credentials.
• Experience with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS benchmarks.

Responsibilities

• The DevSecOps Engineer designs, automates, and maintains secure, scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Engineers must integrate security into development workflows and infrastructure operations.
• Develop automation to deploy, manage, scale, and monitor apps in data centres and cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot system and app issues across platforms; participate in on-call escalations.
• Take ownership of end-to-end infrastructure and security solutions.
• Deploy and manage monitoring tools to track performance and health.
• Implement configuration management for business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Provision VMs, databases, containers, and licenses for development teams.
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines with streamlined release processes.
• Develop scripts to support build, integration, and deployment across environments.
• Automate configuration management of dev, test, and prod workloads.
• Design and monitor automation to identify bottlenecks and maximise service availability.
• Implement security controls per industry standards to protect data and infra.
• Plan and monitor system security architecture including risk assessments.
• Perform security checks, vulnerability assessments, and troubleshoot incidents.
• Apply secure configurations and best practices for security controls in infra and applications.
