DevSecOps Engineer: Architect Secure Delivery

Job summary

SGX Group is seeking a hands-on DevSecOps Engineer to embed security into the design, build, and operation of mission-critical financial systems. You will design secure delivery pipelines and automate security controls across the Market Engineering team, driving secure-by-design and shift-left practices at scale.

You will work with application, platform and cyber security teams to champion robust security standards without slowing delivery, leading high-impact initiatives and shaping engineering

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in DevSecOps, security engineering or platform leadership.
• Proven ability to lead projects and engineering teams with clear accountability.
• Hands-on expertise across secure SDLC, CI/CD, SAST/DAST, SCA and container security.
• Experience with IAM, encryption, vulnerability management and policy-as-code.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Degree in CS/Engineering/Info Security; cloud/security certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise CI/CD pipeline standards and automation practices.
• Establish IaC standards and platform automation capabilities.
• Develop DevSecOps standards and security automation patterns.
• Lead developer experience initiatives and engineering enablement.
• Guide platform engineering practices and capabilities.
• Own environment strategy and self-service adoption.
• Define engineering tooling standards and governance.
• Lead enterprise workflow automation programmes.
• Establish policy-as-code and compliance automation standards.
• Lead DevOps capability development and standardisation across teams.
• Design reusable agentic platform services for CI/CD, cloud, security and observability workflows.
