Job summary

Vinova PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, build, and maintain robust applications across backend and frontend teams. You will work on scalable services, RESTful/GraphQL APIs, and data storage with PostgreSQL/MySQL while leveraging AWS, IaC, and containerized deployments.

You will collaborate across teams to deliver secure, reliable systems with strong engineering fundamentals in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing and building scalable software solutions across backend and frontend
• Proficient with modern Java/Kotlin/Python/Node.js stacks and frontend frameworks
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, containers, and IaC
• Strong understanding of RESTful/GraphQL APIs and data modeling

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering fundamentals to design, develop, and maintain software solutions that meet client requirements
• Develop backend services using Java, Kotlin, Python, Node.js/TypeScript, Go, C#, or similar languages to deliver scalable and efficient applications
• Build frontend interfaces using React/Next.js, Vue, Angular, or similar frameworks
• Design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs to enable seamless integration between systems
• Manage and optimize PostgreSQL or MySQL databases for reliable data storage and retrieval
• Configure and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure to support application deployment and scalability
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or OpenTofu to automate cloud resource provisioning
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, particularly with GitLab, to ensure smooth and automated software delivery
• Implement containerization using Docker and orchestrate deployments with ECS and/or Kubernetes/EKS for scalable environments
• Automate deployment processes to improve release efficiency and reduce errors
• Configure cloud networking components to ensure secure and efficient communication between services
• Monitor system observability and implement monitoring solutions to proactively detect and resolve issues
• Participate in production operations and incident response to maintain high system availability and reliability
• Implement security controls including authentication, authorization, encryption, and audit logging to comply with compliance requirements
• Support reliable and highly available production systems by understanding both application and platform infrastructure

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Java and Kotlin for backend development
• Proficiency in Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Pandas for data processing and API development
• Experience with TypeScript and React/Next.js for frontend development
• Familiarity with AWS EC2, ECS, and EKS services for cloud infrastructure management
• Knowledge of Kubernetes orchestration and container management
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools including Terraform, OpenTofu, or CloudFormation
• Experience building and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Skills in data engineering and ETL processes to handle large data workflows
• Understanding of event-driven architectures for scalable system design
• Exposure to enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, OutSystems, Appian, Pega, or Microsoft Dynamics
