About the Role

The incumbent will leverage expertise in cloud computing, especially MS Azure, to design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable services. The role emphasizes developing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and fostering a DevOps culture to improve internal and customer applications.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

1. CI/CD Pipelines (40%)
   • Create, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Bamboo, Jenkins, or similar to streamline development and deployment.
   • Automate deployment processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
2. Container Orchestration (30%)
   • Design and operate service mesh architectures using Docker and Kubernetes.
   • Manage containers efficiently to optimize resource use.
3. Cloud-based Services (10%)
   • Design and deploy cloud services on MS Azure to meet application needs.
   • Ensure scalability and reliability through continuous monitoring and optimization.
4. Investigation and Prototyping (10%)
   • Research, prototype, and implement new solutions for complex system challenges.
   • Stay updated with emerging technologies to improve infrastructure.
5. DevOps Culture Development (5%)
   • Collaborate with Development and Operations teams to enhance release processes.
   • Drive workflow improvements from development to production.
6. Other Responsibilities (5%)

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
• Extensive experience in DevOps, project management, and team collaboration.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python and Java, including scripting skills.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and open-source software.
• Experience managing cloud environments and infrastructure as code.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools and processes.
• Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with capacity to influence across multiple parties.
• Effective internal communication within the Technology division (60%) and external communication with vendors/service providers (40%).
