Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to strengthen software delivery automation, cloud infrastructure and operational reliability within the ITSS Augmented Resources team. You will design and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure and deployment processes, support container platforms, and embed observability and DevSecOps controls throughout the software delivery lifecycle. The role requires close collaboration with development, QA, security and operations teams.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or equivalent platforms.
- Automate build, test, security scanning, release and deployment processes to improve delivery speed, quality and repeatability.
- Build and maintain reusable pipeline templates, deployment standards and engineering guardrails across development teams.
- Manage containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes platforms such as AKS, EKS, GKE or on-premises Kubernetes.
- Provision and manage cloud and platform infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates or CloudFormation.
- Support cloud environments on Microsoft Azure, AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform, including identity, networking, compute, storage and platform services.
- Implement observability using metrics, logs, traces, dashboards and alerts through tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Datadog or Azure Monitor.
- Embed DevSecOps controls, including SAST, DAST, dependency and container scanning, secrets management, policy checks and compliance evidence, into delivery pipelines.
- Manage source-code repositories, branching strategies, artefact repositories, release processes and environment promotion controls.
- Automate configuration and operational tasks using Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible or equivalent tools.
- Investigate infrastructure and deployment incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, platform standards, operational runbooks and disaster-recovery procedures.
- Continuously improve delivery performance, platform resilience, security posture, developer experience and operational efficiency.
Core Requirements
Technical Skills and Experience
- Three or more years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, site reliability engineering or cloud operations, with significant CI/CD responsibility.
- Hands-on experience with at least one CI/CD platform: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
