Job summary

OCBC is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to lead the administration, maintenance and lifecycle management of our DevOps toolchain in Singapore. You will ensure Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Nexus, Jenkins, Ansible, and SonarQube stay up‑to‑date, secure and compliant while enabling rapid delivery of software across the bank.

The role requires 10+ years of hands‑on DevOps experience, strong scripting skills in Shell/Python, and a deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and IaC.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of hands‑on experience in DevOps engineering and tool administration.
  • Strong expertise in: Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence Nexus Repository Manager Jenkins CI/CD Ansible SonarQube.
  • Proven experience in managing upgrades and ensuring secure, compliant tool versions.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automation.

Responsibilities

  • Tool Administration & Maintenance: Administer and maintain all DevOps tools including Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Nexus, Jenkins, Ansible Automation Platform, and SonarQube.
  • Upgrades & Patch Management: Plan and execute regular upgrades and patches for all tools and underlying infrastructure.
  • Compliance & Security: Monitor and enforce compliance with bank standard policies and industry standards.
  • Automation & Optimization: Develop and maintain automation scripts for tool configuration, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Monitoring &. Troubleshooting: Set up proactive monitoring and alerting for tool health and performance.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive documentation and conduct training sessions.

How you succeed

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to lead the administration, maintenance and lifecycle management of our DevOps toolchain. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Nexus, Jenkins and SonarQube ensuring they are always up‑to‑date, secure and compliant with internal and external standards.

What you do
  • Tool Administration & Maintenance: Administer and maintain all DevOps tools including Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Nexus, Jenkins, Ansible Automation Platform, and SonarQube. Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of these platforms.
  • Upgrades & Patch Management: Plan and execute regular upgrades and patches for all tools and underlying infrastructure. Ensure tools are running on non‑vulnerable versions and platforms and are free from known security issues.
  • Compliance & Security: Monitor and enforce compliance with bank standard policies and industry standards. Implement security best practices across all tools and ensure audit readiness.
  • Automation & Optimization: Develop and maintain automation scripts for tool configuration, deployment, and monitoring. Optimize tool usage and workflows to improve developer productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Monitoring &. Troubleshooting: Set up proactive monitoring and alerting for tool health and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tool integration, performance, and access.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive documentation for tool configurations, upgrade procedures, and compliance checks. Conduct training sessions and workshops for development and operations teams.
Who you are
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of hands‑on experience in DevOps engineering and tool administration.
  • Strong expertise in: Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence Nexus Repository Manager Jenkins CI/CD Ansible SonarQube.
  • Proven experience in managing upgrades and ensuring secure, compliant tool versions.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix systems and scripting (Shell, Python, Groovy, etc.).
  • Certifications in DevOps, Redhat would be an added advantage.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is preferable.
