Job summary

Zenika is seeking a DevOps Consultant to help global clients navigate cloud ecosystems, design scalable infrastructure, and elevate development practices. You will serve as a technical advisor and architect, empowering client teams to own infrastructure while advancing CI/CD and IaC maturity.

In this role, you will craft production-grade architectures on AWS EKS, implement IaC with Terraform/Terragrunt, and promote a culture of DevOps excellence across engagements.

Qualifications

• Strong AWS experience with EKS, RDS, and networking components.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Scripting in Bash, Python, or Go for automation tasks.
• Experience with GitLab/ArgoCD pipelines and Terraform/Terragrunt.
• Excellent communication and teamwork in agile environments.
• Nice-to-have: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or CKA.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable solutions using AWS EKS and Kubernetes for high availability.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitLab and ArgoCD.
• Implement IaC with Terraform/Terragrunt to standardize environments.
• Secure and optimize services using Linkerd and cost/performance monitoring.
• Set up observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
• Collaborate with client dev/QA teams and mentor others.

Your Role As a Zenika Consultant

In this role, you will bring your deep expertise to client projects, acting as a technical advisor and architect. You won't just be a \"gatekeeper\"; you will be a partner, empowering client teams to own their infrastructure while you elevate their development practices.

What You’ll Do

• Architect Scalable Solutions: Design and implement robust, production-grade infrastructure on AWS EKS, utilizing Kubernetes for container orchestration to ensure high availability.
• Modernize Delivery: Help clients transform their workflows by developing and maintaining advanced CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and ArgoCD.
• Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Standardize environments and reduce drift by implementing automation with Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Secure & Optimize: Implement service mesh technologies like LinkerD to secure service-to-service communication and proactively manage cloud costs and performance.
• Enable Observability: Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch) to ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate & Mentor: Work closely with client development and QA teams to facilitate seamless integration. You will be an advocate for continuous learning, contributing to a culture of technical excellence.

What You Bring

• Proven AWS Expertise: Strong experience with AWS services, particularly EKS, RDS, and networking components.
• We value deep hands-on expertise combined with a consultant's mindset.
• Containerization Mastery: Deep understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Scripting & Automation: Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go for custom automation tasks.
• CI/CD & IaC Proficiency: Hands-on experience with GitLab/ArgoCD pipelines and Terraform/Terragrunt.
• Soft Skills: You are a problem-solver who communicates clearly, acts as a team player, and remains detail-oriented even in fast-paced, agile environments.
• Nice-to-Have: Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or CKA. Familiarity with E2E tools like Cypress or Playwright and microservices architecture is highly valued.
