Desktop Support Engineer - Hardware Network
    As a Hardware and Networking Support Specialist at our company located in Sandhurst Road, you will play a crucial role in providing first-line support for hardware and software issues. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals. Additionally, you will be responsible for setting up new workstations, installing software applications, and configuring user accounts to ensure seamless operations.Your role will also involve performing regular maintenance on hardware and software to guarantee optimal performance. You will maintain meticulous records of issues, resolutions, and inventory of hardware and software assets. Furthermore, you will assist in training users on new software and technologies, offering guidance on best practices to enhance efficiency.In this position, you will be required to set up and configure network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points. You will troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues, conduct regular updates and patches, and utilize tools to monitor network performance and security. Maintaining accurate records of network configurations, diagrams, and hardware inventories will also be part of your duties.Collaboration with other IT staff to integrate hardware with software systems and applications is essential. You will ensure that hardware security measures are in place to safeguard against unauthorized access and threats. With a minimum of 2 years of experience in Hardware and Networking, you should have a strong understanding of operating systems, hardware components, and common software applications.The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills to interact with users effectively and understand their needs. You should have the ability to diagnose problems swiftly and efficiently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple support requests simultaneously.
