A leading technology company seeks a Deskside and Technical Support Specialist to handle IT-related tasks for PCs, servers, and networks in Singapore. The role includes providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and facilitating vendor coordination within a datacenter environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hardware and networking knowledge, experience in deskside support, and the ability to communicate effectively with regional and global teams.
Job Description
Handle IT related tasks from Server to Network to PC Client (notebook & Desktop) including PC and peripheral setups, parts replacement, pre-installed baseline configuration & OS patching,
This job fills up the role as a deskside and technical support for PC, Servers, and Network break/fix, mostly hardware for network and servers and simple troubleshooting.
Responsibilities include monitoring, diagnosing network Lan point, data backup and restoration, handling of users’ ad-hoc requests and troubleshooting of networks in a data-center. Escort vendor to data center for hardware replacement. You may be required to lay cables between racks and install/rack servers and network devices. Unmount decommission devices for disposal. Rack new hardware.
Basic knowledge of Server and Network.
Strong in Microsoft apps, Office2019, Windows 10/11, Internet Brower & Proxy.
Knowledge in Active Directory, Domain, SCCM, BeyondTrust , Bitlocker, Antivirus, Wlan, Crashplan, Webex, Collaboration tools, Global Protect VPN, Entrust, MDM for mobile.
Datacenter environment which includes UPS, EMS/SMS, Telco links.
Office IT facilities including television, projector, copier, ip phone
Liaison with regional and global teams.
Support locations in Singapore (Office, Co-location, Product Distribution Centers).
Provide user IT needs, remotely (outside of Singapore).
May required to work beyond office and outside hours, such as for shutdown infrastructure for yearly building power maintenance.
