Job summary

A leading company in IT support is seeking an IT Desktop Support specialist for a 1-year contract opportunity. Responsibilities include providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and managing incident tickets. Job description

Location (Nearest MRT): Central

Salary: Up to $3,000 (Depends on Qualification & Relevant Work Experience)

Duration of Work: 1 Year Contract (Renewable!)

Work Day: Mondays to Fridays

Work Hours: Office Hours

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices

  • Perform hardware and software installation, configuration, and upgrades

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, network connectivity, and user access

  • Handle incident tickets via IT service desk systems and escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support or vendors

  • Maintain and manage inventory of IT assets including desktops, peripherals, and software licenses

  • Ensure timely deployment of patches, updates, and antivirus definitions

  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including account setup and access rights

  • Assist in IT documentation, SOP updates, and user guides

  • Ensure adherence to IT policies, security protocols, and data privacy guidelines

Requirements:

  • Nitec in Information Technology or other relevant fields of study

  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in an IT Desktop Support or Service Desk role

  • Good understanding of troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues

  • Familiar with common IT tools, ticketing systems, and remote support platforms

  • Able to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
